Happy Valentine

Happy Valentine to everyone! Well that was over – it was February 14 and now its well, not the 14th anymore.

Phooey! Why does valentine day have to be celebrated just one day. Maryann and I love each other everyday and we’re not afraid to let each other know that not only in words but in what we do for each other everyday.

This year I again wanted to do something a little different for her. So I surprised her by making this photo and putting it as her desktop picture on her computer.

No it wasn’t Photoshoped except to put in the sentiment (which I sincerely feel and she loved).

I knew this would be very meaningful to her not only because I did it but because its something special to her. You see – this cup is part of a set that use to belong to her one and only uncle on her father’s side (his brother). As a little girl she spent a lot of time with him and he is the one who actually taught her how to make what are now some of my favorite dishes. So this had a double meaning and brought back a lot of happy memories for her.

To learn more about how I created this image with the shadow forming the other half of the heart – see my post “Controlling Light” in the Tips & Tricks section of my blog.

Anyway, we had a lot of fun creating the Expressions Cube  special for folks who took advantage of that great deal. So now we also know that we’re not the only couple who shows the love daily. What a great way to celebrate the love for each other by creating a keepsake, like the Expressions Cube, to cherish every day.

Thanks to everyone who participated and we wish all our love as well.
